Filmekimi will once again spectacular films which premiered at prestigious international film festivals and received numerous awards. Filmekimi’s 15th edition will feature the latest works of master directors such as Ken Loach, Asghar Farhadi, Jim Jarmusch, Park Chan-wook, Paul Verhoeven, Todd Solondz, and Pedro Almodovar, as well as young auteurs, and first-time directors. Taking place 7-16 October in Istanbul, Filmekimi will visit other cities throughout the month of October.
Filmekimi, which is being followed with great interest by Istanbulites each year since 2002, has met with approximately 75 thousand cinephiles in 6 cities in 2015. The 15th Filmekimi will be holding screenings at Istanbul’s various districts, such as Beyoğlu and Atlas in Beyoğlu, Rexx in Kadıköy and City’s Cinemaximum in Nişantaşı.
