Lavash and Yufka cultural heritage of Turkey

Having registered Lavash-Yufka with UNESCO, Turkey was one of the 10 countries that registered the most element in "UNESCO's List of Intangible Cultural Heritage".

At the 11th Committee Meeting of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in Ethiopia, the capital of Addis Ababa, one national and two multinational files on behalf of our country were presented to the Representative List.

At the meeting held yesterday, the geography of 'Nevruz' cult recorded in UNESCO in 2009 for the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity expanded. Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Iraq and Turkmenistan were added to 7 countries, including Turkey. The Nevruz file included Azerbaijan, India, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Turkey.
