The 93rd Anniversary of Independence Day of Istanbul has been observed with ceremonies in the Republic Monument, in Taksim and CRR Concert Hall on October 6th, 2016.
The 93rd Anniversary of Independence Day of Istanbul started in the Taksim Republic Monument in the morning.
Mr. Göksel Gümüşdağ, the Vice-Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality; Mr. İsmail Gültekin, the Deputy Governor of Istanbul; Mr. Mevlüt Bulut, Deputy Secretary General-Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality; the bureaucrats of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality as well as students from schools in the surrounding area have attended the independence ceremony.
Wreaths were also placed on the Monument and after standing in silence, the national anthem has been sung in the ceremony.
After signing the Monument Special Book, the celebration ceremony of the 93rd anniversary of the Istanbul's liberation continued at Cemal Reşit Rey Hall (CRR).
